Wild Earth Pinot Noir 2008 (Central Otago, NZ)
What a brilliant Pinot this is. The minute you open the screwcap the flavours are jumping out of the bottle at you. There are some fantastic notes of black cherries on the palate with some subtle smoky gamey hints.
This is a really smooth wine with a good long finish. I’ve been challenged by Daniel Primack (owner of Around Wine) to keep a couple for 2 years; so impressed was he when he had some of his Wild Earth 2006 recently. I only have 4 left and I’m not sure how long I can bare to keep them! Top wine…..
